BASIC FUNCTION
Full responsibility for P&L, underpinned by managing top-line revenue growth and bottom line cost management of the entire China operations. Strong focus on sales whilst also understand and able to direct manufacturing operations, quality management, engineering, finance and HR.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1Entrepreneurial leadership of all local company facilities in China
2Help develop and execute 5-year strategic plan
3Develop and execute 1-year budget plan
4Support company's regional process initiatives, policies and systems developed by Asia HQ team and actively integrate them into the China operations
5Identifying sound acquisition opportunities to accelerate business expansion and actively participate in the deal negotiation, due diligence and integration process.
6Must strive to return 25% pre-tax profit with annual organic sales growth of 15%
7Utilize equipment >85% based on 168/week
8Control working capital (i.e. DSO <= 45)
9Must have a detailed working knowledge of the BMS program.
10Must be an advocate for company to customers, employees and communities
11Conduct Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey
12Maintain quality accreditation of facility by at least one recognized authority
13Lead sales effort, quoting, pricing, and market penetration
14Personally sell to key accounts (>25% of time)
15Maintain working knowledge of local competitors
16Comply with, promote and enforce safety, health, environmental (SHE), rules, regulations, company policies, and laws
17Maintain equipment and facility in an upscale appearance (5S Principle)
18Hire, train, motivate, and retain a quality oriented and productive work force
19Integrate employee development, actively cultivating a successor
20Promote and practice team work with other plants and corporate staff
21Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
REQUIREMENTS
1Bachelor Degree with advanced training in operations, management skills, finance, metallurgy, quality, safety, and environmental management.
2Thorough knowledge of heat treat processes and minimum five years business management experience. Requires 5+ years supervisory experience.
3Strategic thinker with the ability to develop relationships with key customers, formulate business processes and leverage existing practices in operational excellence applied across Bodycote.
4Possess the energy, drive and enthusiasm to operate and lead a growing organisation
5Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing to all levels of employees, customers, vendors, etc.; English be regarded as the working language to communicate with customers and overseas colleagues.
6Usual job duties are conducted in office type conditions. Expects to travel within China and overseas up to 50% of the time.
7Usually office type conditions, however some portion of day is spent in industrial setting in what could be either hot or cold, dirty conditions.
8Must have the ability to motivate and lead people.
9Must have a good concept of computers and working with various computer programs.
