BASIC FUNCTION
Full responsibility for P&L, underpinned by managing top-line revenue growth and bottom line cost management of the entire China operations. Strong focus on sales whilst also understand and able to direct manufacturing operations, quality management, engineering, finance and HR.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Entrepreneurial leadership of all local company facilities in China
2 Help develop and execute 5-year strategic plan
3 Develop and execute 1-year budget plan
4 Support company’s regional process initiatives, policies and systems developed by Asia HQ team and actively integrate them into the China operations
5 Identifying sound acquisition opportunities to accelerate business expansion and actively participate in the deal negotiation, due diligence and integration process.
6 Must strive to return 25% pre-tax profit with annual organic sales growth of 15%
7 Utilize equipment >85% based on 168/week
8 Control working capital (i.e. DSO <= 45)
9 Must have a detailed working knowledge of the BMS program.
10 Must be an advocate for company to customers, employees and communities
11 Conduct Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey
12 Maintain quality accreditation of facility by at least one recognized authority
13 Lead sales effort, quoting, pricing, and market penetration
14 Personally sell to key accounts (>25% of time)
15 Maintain working knowledge of local competitors
16 Comply with, promote and enforce safety, health, environmental (SHE), rules, regulations, company policies, and laws
17 Maintain equipment and facility in an upscale appearance (5S Principle)
18 Hire, train, motivate, and retain a quality oriented and productive work force
19 Integrate employee development, actively cultivating a successor
20 Promote and practice team work with other plants and corporate staff
21 Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
REQUIREMENTS
1 Bachelor Degree with advanced training in operations, management skills, finance, metallurgy, quality, safety, and environmental management.
2 Thorough knowledge of heat treat processes and minimum five years business management experience. Requires 5+ years supervisory experience.
3 Strategic thinker with the ability to develop relationships with key customers, formulate business processes and leverage existing practices in operational excellence applied across Bodycote.
4 Possess the energy, drive and enthusiasm to operate and lead a growing organisation
5 Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing to all levels of employees, customers, vendors, etc.; English be regarded as the working language to communicate with customers and overseas colleagues.
6 Usual job duties are conducted in office type conditions. Expects to travel within China and overseas up to 50% of the time.
7 Usually office type conditions, however some portion of day is spent in industrial setting in what could be either hot or cold, dirty conditions.
8 Must have the ability to motivate and lead people.
9 Must have a good concept of computers and working with various computer programs.
